Steam Blancher having the capacity of processing 2500 coconuts in one hour with standard design and specifications. The sterilization process should bring the microbial content to the required less than 2% to maintain the product quality. All relevant steam controls should be incorporated with the machine with pipe line. Blanching time and volume should be controlled according to the drier capacity and standard blanching time. The blancher should be a screw type machine and necessary precautions should be done to avoid operator heat emission. Temperature control should be provided for both VCO processing and desiccated coconut processing. Equipment should be placed overhead if required and platform handrail should be supplied. The parts should be made up of stainless steel 304 grade material. Motor and gearbox should be covered to avoid water or steam contact. The machine supplied by the supplier should get approval from the Departmental officials before installing it on site. The supplier is responsible for any damages in machine parts while transportation to work spot. It should be either redo to full efficiency or should be replaced with a new machine as per the instruction given by the departmental officials during erection of machinery at site. The entire system should be as per standard specification and as recommended by the departmental officials complete.
